HEADLIGHT RELEASE DAY!

Today is the day! Our new album “Headlight” is out. We’ve never been more excited to share a record with you. This collection of songs is deeply personal, while still capturing the energy and excitement that makes Della Mae who we are. We started writing for this album a little over two years ago. We tackled topics we’ve never written about: sexual abuse, fertility, trying to keep a band together, very personal loss—while balancing it out with hope, boldness, empowerment, determination, and some fun along the way. It’s our lives in an envelope arriving at your doorsteps... and played to you in a (hopefully very nice) pair of headphones streaming from your telephonic devices. :)
 

We carefully chose Dan Knobler as our producer to help us bring our sonic dreams to fruition. Part of that dream was accomplished by inviting some talented friends wit new instruments along for the ride. We had The McCrary Sisters and Ruth Moody (the Wailin’ Jennys) as guest vocalists, Jen Gunderman (Sheryl Crow) on piano and keys, Jamie Dick (Milk Carton Kids, Rhiannon Giddens) on drums, and more.

As we pack our things for a massive album release tour that starts in the UK, we’re feeling very grateful for all of you. We’re celebrating our 10th year as a band and we have so much to be thankful for and excited about. If you connect with any of these songs at all, please share them far and wide. The only way many bands can survive anymore out here is if we’re all in it together. Thanks for following along. Thanks for streaming our songs on repeat silently as you sleep. ;)
